Stolt Sea Farm is committed to the environment, to sustainable development and to client satisfaction. It is for this reason that we develop all of our activities under the most demanding quality systems and follow the methods that are most respectful of the environment in which our marine farms are located.
Thanks to a rigorous Quality and Environment Policy, Stolt Sea Farm has become the first company in the sector to obtain the ISO 9001 (2000) Quality Management certificate, both for production and commercialisation, and the ISO 14001(2004) for Environmental Management, both issued by BUREAU VERITAS INTERNATIONAL, and equally credited by ENAC in Spain, COFRAC in France and UKAS in United Kingdom.
Stolt Sea Farm recognises its responsibility in the production of foodstuffs. For this reason, one of our main objectives lies in the search for new directions and strategies in order to meet the highest quality expectations, as well as to limit the environmental impacts of our processes and products throughout the whole cycle.
Our fish farms are nurtured by the sea; the water is our means of life. For this reason, the company is the first to be interested in its care and in keeping the waters clean and pollution-free.
In accordance with this policy, the Stolt Sea Farm Group pledges:
»To promote energy efficiency and recycling, from the earliest stages of the
process.
»To provide consumers with the appropriate information on our products.
»To meet and, wherever possible, exceed the demands of legislation and the
sectoral and environmental norms in force, establishing our own norms
wherever they exist.
»To actively control the waste that may be generated by the different activities
and work towards their constant reduction, minimising the impact on the
environment.
