A multinational company dedicated to aquaculture, Stolt Sea Farm produces more than 4,000 tonnes of turbot a year, making it the world’s leading company in the farming of this species.

Stolt Sea Farm also produces 50 tonnes of sole, 300 tonnes of sturgeon and 10 tons of caviar a year. Its Prodemar brand has been the world leader in the flatfish market for over 15 years.

Headquartered in Lira-Carnota (A Coruña, Spain), Stolt Sea Farm is a subsidiary of Stolt-Nielsen, S.A.

Prodemar turbot and sole are cultivated in fish farms in Spain, France, Portugal and Norway, while the company’s sturgeon and caviar are produced in the United States, at farms in Sacramento, California.

In all, Stolt Sea Farm’s activity generates close to 300 jobs, both direct and indirect, with total annual incomes adding up to more than €42 million.

Stolt Sea Farm is continuing to expand its activities – projects for new farms are under way, as the company seeks to increase production and satisfy growing demand.

Always up to date, Stolt Sea Farm was the first aquacultural company in Spain to obtain the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certificates.

Our advanced vision of aquaculture, as a sustainable activity and an important source of healthy food, has put the company in a privileged position – always ahead of its time and with the ability to anticipate market developments. Stolt Sea Farm’s management culture is largely based on its integral R+D function, a critical factor in our competitiveness and progress.
